Butia X Syagrus Hybrids. I thought I would share some photos as well.

Luckily we do not have to grow them anymore. We just pollinate and sprout them and our grower takes them all. Gives us time to work on the new hybrids. We have a fresh batch of foxy ladies sprouting now.

    Butia Hybrid Pictures

Scott have you heard that the mule palm is being considered for allergy free gardens because of the lack of male pollen? Up north they are all ready passing laws for schools and playgrounds to stop planting male trees and replacing them with female or male pollen free trees.

So what would you think a Syagrus rom X Parajubaea sunkah would look like?

I heard there has been good germination on it. I hope it turns out to be a good looking palm.

    Butia Hybrid Pictures

The colors are wonderful. I have yet to see any of the hybrids here that put off multiple colors. I recall a recent photo you posted of a Syagrus x Butia the reverse cross that had the same thing happening. Is this the same tree? I would like to try the reverse cross this year.

    Help for variegated Butiagrus

And here is what you will be dealing with. This looks like a double but it is a triple bare rooted. Trying to untangle that mess will most likely kill them all at this age.
