Due to an unexpected issue with our place in the Keys, I made a quick trip last week to address it. Three weeks prior I had sprayed the yard for mites & scale, as well as fertilize and was gratified to see the yard flushing and vibrant. While there I pulled the hybrids with the most potential...

Interesting post Pix - but the thief who did this hates our forum and would love for us to go private. You would assume that the thief is a collector/croton head and knows that this plant is rare and therefore valuable...but to whom? It's only valuable to other croton collectors...and is it...

I only have one more hybrid, one more croton that I absolutely must dedicate. And it's only fitting that it will be one of these yearlings. Thank you Jim & Judy for looking after this crop of youngsters. They would have been lost otherwise. Thank you for all the air layers & having us over...

I nearly forgot - introducing "Betty Louise" dedicated to my Mom. Strong grower & consistent color. Three year old. It's been in a lot of shade especially during winter. Still in a pot.

I just love these miniature super slow crotons. Here are a couple of two year olds.

This guy is a volunteer seedling. I can't really dig it out to pot it up, so I put an air layer on it. It's putting on quite a display of pink.

This two year old is developing huge leaves for its size & age. It's a green & yellow that jumps out at you.

I've had my eye on this 2 year old. It was standing out from the others early on. Chances are this one will become "Pixie Dust".

So the four I have picked out thus far for Mooselands 4.25.15 spring garden tour are: Daisy's Dance Pixie Little Emma Grace Jeff Searle (Elaine?) They just need to catch a ride with someone. I do have a few more showing promise. Let's see how they do and if anyone wants them included.
