But to add to the confusion, from what I understand, there are two distinct versions of Madam Butterfly. One splotchy pink and one with more defined color variation, more like CC. Does this make sense to anyone?

This is what Ray gave me as Van Houtii. It looks just like the one in the book. I remember seeing it at Ray's place before the freeze and the leaves were huge. The one in the picture was air-layered after defoliation. The leaves are getting bigger but still only a third of what they were...
