    Wiki photo entries 2017

I've been calling mine Bullwinkle's Pink since that's from whom I got mine. Nice plant and fast grower.

    Plant Creations 1 or 2?

Here's a few more pics. Lots of these were available from a grower who had some frontage along Griffin Rd; we visited his place a few years ago.

Marie - Any chance you can get Dr. Husby to post some of those pics?

    Plant Creations 1 or 2?

I've always called it and heard it called #2; no idea what #1 looks like or if it even exists. Plant Creations is still in business down in Homestead. Part of their web site has been hacked; the part that works does not list any crotons for sale.

    Crotons in New Guinea

Not the sharpest pic but anyone care to ID the crotons the lady on the cover is wearing on her arms ? (This is a philatelic journal I get, but crotons on stamps are about as rare as the mystery Krukonis croton) H appy New Year to all,

    Leaf drop

This time of year leaf drop is pretty normal. I expect more with cooler temps and less daylight.

    Book: Crotons of the World

Beats me. Worth checking out bookstores at any botanical gardens, bookstores, etc. that you may visit. The Smithsonian published a nice book on heliconias a few years back; it was out of print, and the price skyrocketed - and then crashed when it was reprinted. I wonder who may hold the...

    Book: Crotons of the World

For those of us that have Frank Brown's second edition of Crotons of the World, take good care of it. One is for sale on eBay at $200 and only one is on American Book Exchange (ABE) and that's listed at $200 also!

    Where are the photos?

...and a few more that somehow did not load on first try. First is a 'Sybil Griffin' bought from Jeff. Leaves do not resemble the one I got from John Bender or the Glocks. Second is a Baron LeCompte that has managed to stay scale free for two months in a row!

    Where are the photos?

OK, Anna - here's a few random shots taken 12/4. First is a nice Corot. Next two are what's left of Lillian Stoffringen; never bounced back from big air layer; white on green background. Fourth is a colorful Thomas Edison; lots more pink than usual. Last is Willie/Reliance for some fall foliage...

Lillian Stoffregen vs Delaware, or who knows?

Someone else out there has a big air layer off the parent plant shown above which has retained the white veining. Plant went at one of our auctions within the past few years.

    Street plants

Nice to see well-grown crotons in a public landscape. Gotta love those Chambeyronia when they are in peak color (without the cold & wet of autumn colors up north).
